Turn your living room into a concert hall
And sing like nobody’s listening - because they aren’t!
How do I join a CHOIRANTINE session?
First, sign-up to the email notifications below. Then whenever a session is scheduled, you’ll receive an email with a link to the Zoom video call for that session. You’ll need to register before you enter as resources for each session are only sent to those who sign up for that session.
What should I expect from my first CHOIRANTINE session?
An average CHOIRANTINE session runs for about an hour and features a fun warm-up followed by a focus on one classic, well-known, arranged in harmony with a “performance” at the end. You may also find that choirmaster Tim gets distracted by vocal technique, music theory, song trivia and altogether unrelated songs. It all adds to the CHOIRANTINE experience!
Will I be able to hear the other participants? Can they hear me?
Sadly, no - although that may be a relief to some. Because of the latency in video conferencing, all participants other than Tim must be muted. Otherwise, we’d all be totally out of sync with one another and the whole endeavour would become a chaotic mess. Instead, you will sing along to Tim and his trusty keyboard, with the option to record yourself at the end for a compilation of the whole arrangement.
Is this accessible for me?
As long as you have a basic appreciation of music, CHOIRANTINE is for you. We accept all participants, from those with no prior singing experience to professional vocalists & choristers. You don’t need to have any music theory knowledge, or even to be able to sing in tune. All you need is a desire to engage and a strong sense of fun.
Do I have to pay for CHOIRANTINE?
CHOIRANTINE is a free programme, available to anyone with an internet connection. However, there is the option for a voluntary contribution if you’ve enjoyed the experience. If you’re a regular attender and you’re able to do so, we recommend a contribution of £5 per session.
Help! I’ve stopped receiving emails from you!
Panic not, my friend. The chances are one of two things has happened. Either your mail client (Gmail, Outlook etc.) has identified the CHOIRANTINE email as a promotion, in which case you’ll find it in the “Promotions” tab, or it’s identified the email as junk (rude) and you’ll therefore find it in the junk file. To avoid this happening, add the email address (hello@choirantine.co.uk) to your safe-senders list.
